1.) What did Pilate command to have happen to Jesus?
He had him flogged.
2.) In what ways did the Jews mock Jesus?
Crown of thorns, purple robe, mock respect, beating him.
3.) When Pilate brought Jesus out one more time what did the Pharisees cry out?
4.) What did the Jews tell Pilate that Jesus said He was?
He claimed to be the Son of God.
5.) What did Pilate say he had the authority to do?
The power to free or kill Jesus.
6.) How did Jesus answer this?
God has given Pilate the power and the Jews have more guilt than him.
7.) What did Pilate try to do?
Pilate tried to let Jesus go.
8.) How did the Jews pressure Pilate?
They said that Pilate was trying to oppose Caesar.
9.) Where did Pilate sit?
He sat on the judgement seat called the Stone Pavement.
10.) Keeping in mind that John wrote this book around 15-20 years after the destruction of Jerusalem when the Hebrew way of measuring time was completely replaced with the Roman method what time does John mean when he says "about the sixth hour"?
It was about noon.

Golgotha, the place of the skull.

Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews, written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek.

It is finished! The old covenant was nailed to the cross and the kingdom was beginning.

So they could not hold themselves up which would hasten their death.

A soldier pierced His side and blood and water came out.
21.) What two prophecies were fulfilled in this?
Not one bone would be broken (Psalm 34:20) and they will look on the one they have pierced (Zech 12:10).

Joseph and Nicodemus who were members of the San Hedrin.
