Genesis 1
  1. Who created the heavens and the earth?
    God
  2. What was created on each day?
    1.) light, 2.) atmosphere, 3.) land-sea-vegetation, 4.) celestial bodies, 5.) fish and fowl, 6.) beasts and humans
  3. What does with the seed within itself mean?
    That once created the ability to continue on into the future was also created.
Genesis 2
  1. What did God do on the 7th day?
    He rested from all His work and sanctified it.
  2. What watered the earth?
    A mist from the Earth.
  3. From what was the first man formed? From what were the animals formed?
    The dust of the ground
  4. Where did God place Adam?
    The garden of Eden
  5. What were the names of the four rivers that were in the garden of Eden?
    Pishon, Gihon, Hiddekel (Tigris), Euphrates
  6. How was woman formed?
    From the side of man. Bone and flesh.
Genesis 3
  1. Of what tree were Adam and Eve not to eat? Who tricked them into eating of the tree?
    The tree of knowledge of good and evil. The Devil through a serpent.
  2. What three things did Eve think seemed good about the fruit?
    Pleasing to the eye, good for food, and desirable for gaining wisdom. (Lust of the eye, lust of the flesh and Pride of Life. 1 John 2:16)
  3. What types of clothes did they make for themselves? What type of clothes did God replace these with?
    Fig leaves were replaced with animal skins. (A sacrifice had to be made to cover their sin)
  4. What curse did God put on the serpent?
    Be on it's belly, eat dust and be under foot of man.
  5. What curse did God put on the woman?
    Very severe pain to have children and submission to her husband's desires over her own.
  6. What curse did God put on the man?
    A life of hard work providing for his family.
  7. What was the name of the tree that man could no longer eat from? Why couldn't they eat from it? Where is it now?
    The Tree of Life was banned from them so that they could not live forever and would now die. In heaven (Rev. 22:2)
  8. What did God place at the east of the Garden of Eden?
    Cherubim with a flaming sword.
