To be more righteous than the Pharisees. In other words don't be a hypocrite.

Make sure we haven't caused harm to our brother
Why should we resolve our conflicts before we go to a third party?
It's better not to get more people involved and not everyone will necessarily agree with you.
What is Jesus' message about sin?
Try to avoid it at ALL costs. Do not even start to entertain it because of where it might lead.
What is the ONLY scriptural reason for a divorce?
sexual immorality
Are we supposed to swear oaths?
No just be truthful in what you say. We do not have the power to swear oaths.
What does "turn the other cheek" mean?
It doesn't mean to get beat up. It just means to not exact revenge when someone treats you badly.
For whom are we to do good and pray?
Even those that persecute you.

in private. not showing off or bragging
Who rewards you for your charitable deeds?
The Father who sees secret things.
Where and how are we to pray to the Father?
privately and humbly
What should be the basic content of our prayer to the Father?
Honoring the Father, praying for the church, God's will to be done, our daily necessities, forgiveness of sins, protection from the devil.
What must we do to receive forgiveness from God?
show forgiveness to others.
How should we fast?
So that others don't notice.
What kind of treasure should we lay up for ourselves?
Spiritual treasures
How is your eye the lamp of your body?
Avoid the lust of the eyes. Look upon good things so you are filled with good things.
Can you serve God and money at the same time?
No, you need to decide which one you want to worship
Who should we turn to provide our food and clothing?
The Lord will provide

How should we judge someone?
As we want judged
What should we look at first before judging our brother?
Our own lives
How can you help your brother remove the speck from his eye?
Remove the plank from your own eye
Why do we not cast what is holy to the dogs or swine?
Some people are evil and the only goal is to destroy you.
What do we do to receive anything from God?
Ask, Seek, Knock
Why is the gate that leads to life narrow and difficult? How many will come through the narrow gate?
Because it's different than the path of worldly pleasures. Few people will take that path
Who comes in sheep's clothing?
False prophets
How can we know a bad tree?
It has bad fruit
Why would many who had done work for God not enter into Heaven?
They don't actually do the will of God
Who is the wise man?
The one who hears the Word and follows it.
